ECONSULT (GP appointments only, all Nurse/HCA/Physio appointments will continue to be booked by phone)
As part of our efforts to improve access to our services we are launching eConsult - an online GP service.
If you are looking to speak to a GP for advice/treatment or to make a GP appointment go to our homepage and click on the blue eConsult button that says "contact your doctor online", for medication reviews click on the blue eConsult button with the pill packet on that says "need to complete a review" and for sicknotes, doctors letters of copies of results only (with no further advice) click on the blue eConsult button that says "get sicknotes......."
This will make it easier for our patients to get the most appropriate help for them without having to telephone the practice for an appointment. The following services are available -
- Clinical requests and GP appointment requests.
- Continuation of an already agreed sick-line.
- Medication reviews including for Depression or HRT
- Submission of home blood pressure readings
- GDPR requests (information from patient records or requests for GP letters etc)
- Requests for chasing up hospital referrals
Once you have submitted your request please keep checking your mobile phone or email as the doctors can respond quite quickly with an appointment time on the same day.
Nurses, Health Care Assistant and Physio appointments
To make an appointment for the Nurse, Health Care Assistant or Physio please telephone 01862 892759 or call at the health centre during opening hours. To make sure that the admin staff can allocate you to the appropriate person they will ask for a brief indication of the problem as per the Doctor's instructions. The receptionist will try to give you a time that is convenient to you but if this is not possible they will suggest an alternative time or another person who is available.
Registrars and Students
At certain times a GP Registrar (trainee medical practitioner) and/or medical students, or students with any member of the Primary Health Care Team may be working under supervision. You will be asked for your permission for a student to be involved in your care but you are not obliged to consent to this. The practice has achieved Practice Accreditation and is an accredited training practice.
