📍 Tain & Fearn Area Medical Practice, Tain

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist / Health Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team for:

✅ 4–6 sessions per week (2–3 days)
✅ Additional hours available to cover annual leave and holidays

Main Duties

The successful candidate will undertake a range of clinical activities within established protocols, including:

🩸 Venepuncture (blood taking)
🧪 Urine testing
💓 Blood pressure monitoring
📈 ECGs
⚖️ Weight monitoring
💬 Brief interventions
👥 New patient checks
🏠 Domiciliary visits

ECONSULT (GP/Physio appointments only, all Nurse and HCA appointments will continue to be booked by phone)

If you are looking to speak to a GP/Physio for advice/treatment or to make a GP/Physio appointment go to our homepage and click on the blue eConsult button and the link that says "contact your doctor online", for medication reviews click on the link that says "need to complete a review" and for sicknotes, doctors letters of copies of results only (with no further advice) click on the link that says "get sicknotes......."

This will make it easier for our patients to get the most appropriate help for them without having to telephone the practice for an appointment. The following services are available - 

- Clinical requests and GP/Physio appointment requests.

- Continuation of an already agreed sick-line.

- Medication reviews including for Depression or HRT

- Submission of home blood pressure readings

- GDPR requests (information from patient records or requests for GP letters etc)

- Requests for chasing up hospital referrals
